Cycle Works is back in 2019!
This is the third year we’ll be running the Cycle Works challenge, and this year we are really pleased to be supported by our legal partners Snedden Hall & Gallop as principal sponsor.
“Snedden Hall & Gallop has had a long relationship with Pedal Power and support their mission to get more Canberrans cycling,” said Snedden Hall & Gallop Managing Director, Richard Faulks.
“We’re particularly pleased to support the Cycle Works challenge as it’s a fun and easy way for people to incorporate cycling into their daily life by riding to work.
“Many of our staff enjoy riding casually and are looking at ways to ride more frequently. The four-week challenge gives people a chance to try riding to the bus stop, or part way home from the park and ride. For us it’s all about starting with small steps, though. We know people have busy lives and commitments that they need to work around.
“As a business, it’s good for us to think about what we can do to encourage staff to think about their health and wellbeing, and supporting Pedal Power and Cycle Works is just one of those ways,” said Mr Faulks.
Being part of Cycle Works is really easy – you can sign up as an individual or join a workplace team. You simply set your goals and start riding. We know it’s easier to start a new habit when you have some support, so we’re making it fun with online challenges and prizes to be won, and providing tips and resources on how to get started with a ride-to-work routine. And we’re encouraging people to get a team together and encourage their colleagues to sign up too, so they can support, encourage – and compete – with each other.
The Cycle Works challenge starts on Monday 18 March and runs for four weeks.
